Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
- We do not sell personal information, or share it for advertising.
- Card numbers never reach StudioConnect's servers.
- We do not use studio or guest data to train AI models.
Who we are
StudioConnect is software that creative studios use to run bookings, check-in, checkout, pieces and firing, inventory, and their teams. It is operated by Create Tennessee, LLC ("StudioConnect," "we," "us").
We handle information in two different roles:
- For studio accounts (owners and staff who sign in), we decide how that information is used. This policy covers it fully.
- For a studio's guests and customers, the studio decides what to collect and why. We store and process that information on the studio's behalf and only to provide StudioConnect to them. If you are a guest, the studio you visited is your first contact for questions about your information, and its own privacy notice applies too.
What we collect
From studio owners and staff: name, email address, phone number (if given), password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider), role, the studio and locations you belong to, and a record of actions taken in the app (such as approvals and changes) so studios can see who did what.
About the studio: business name, locations and addresses, time zone, branding, settings, products, prices, inventory, supplier invoices and documents you upload, and subscription status.
About a studio's guests (entered by the studio or by the guest on a studio's booking, check-in, shop or portal page): name, email, phone, bookings and visits, pieces and their progress, purchases, gift certificates, memberships, notes the studio adds, and whether the guest agreed to receive texts or emails.
Payment information: card numbers are typed into the payment processor's own secure page or device — Stripe, Square or Authorize.Net — and never reach StudioConnect's servers. We keep only what the processor sends back: a reference id, card brand, last four digits, expiry month and year, and the result of each charge. When a studio records a payment taken on its own card machine, we store the amount, last four digits and approval code it enters.
Technical information: sign-in session cookies, and standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) kept by our hosting providers for security and troubleshooting.
How we use information
We use information only to run, secure, support and improve StudioConnect, including to:
- provide the features a studio turns on, such as bookings, checkout, piece tracking, receipts and pull lists
- send messages a studio or its guests asked for, such as booking confirmations, receipts and "your piece is ready" texts
- manage trials, subscriptions and billing for studio accounts
- keep accounts secure, prevent fraud and fix problems
- answer support requests, including viewing a studio's account when the studio grants our team access
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not use studio or guest data to train AI models.
Texts and email
Studios send texts and emails to guests through StudioConnect. A guest receives marketing or optional texts only if they agreed to them, and transactional messages (like a receipt or a pickup notice) only about their own visit or order. Guests can reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, and can ask the studio to change their preferences at any time.
Reading supplier documents
When a studio uploads a supplier invoice, StudioConnect sends that document to an AI service to read the line items. These documents describe products the studio ordered, not guests. The AI provider processes them to return results to us and does not use them to train its models.
How we protect information
All traffic to StudioConnect is encrypted in transit. Each studio's information is kept separate from every other studio's at the database level, and staff see only what their role allows. Payment processor credentials a studio connects are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell the affected studio and, where the law requires, the people affected.
How long we keep information
We keep information while a studio's account is active. If a studio cancels, we keep its information for 90 days so it can return without losing anything, then delete or anonymize it. We keep records we are legally required to hold, such as billing and tax records, for as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Studio owners and staff can update their name, email and phone in the app, and can email create@studioconnect.art to request a copy of their information or to close their account.
- Guests should contact the studio first. We will help the studio respond to requests to see, correct or delete a guest's information.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor them as required.
Children
StudioConnect is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children. Studios often host children for parties and classes and may record a child's first name on a booking or a piece, usually provided by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. A parent who has questions should contact the studio, or email us at create@studioconnect.art.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and tell studio owners by email or in the app before it takes effect.
