Glass studio software

A glass studio's day, from the walk-in to the pickup text.

Make-your-own glass studios run on the same rhythm as pottery studios: guests make something, it goes in the kiln, and someone has to tell them when it's ready. StudioConnect handles that day.

What glass studio software should do — and StudioConnect does

  • Walk-ins, classes and parties

The live studio board, online bookings with deposits, and checkout.

  • Kiln loads and costs

Record what went in which kiln, what each firing cost and how the elements are wearing.

  • Ready texts

Tell guests when their piece is out of the kiln — all at once, or as parts come ready.

  • Inventory

Supplier invoices read automatically, glass and supplies counted, holds and transfers between locations.

  • The team

Schedules, the time clock and training in Studio Standard.

  • The numbers

Sales, labor and the month in StudioBooks.

Honestly: Glass fusing and slumping schedules aren't built yet — kiln lanes today are pottery cones. Tell us how your kilns run and we'll build it with you.

A day with it

  1. AfternoonA family makes suncatchers; their pieces go on the board under one visit.
  2. NightThe kiln load is recorded with its cost.
  3. Two days laterA text: "Your glass is ready to pick up."

Questions studios ask

Does StudioConnect support glass fusing schedules?

Not yet. Kiln lanes today are pottery cones (bisque ^04, earthenware ^06, stoneware ^6). Glass studios use loads, costs, tickets and pickup notices now; fusing and slumping schedules are on our list.

Can I use it for a mixed pottery and glass studio?

Yes — visits, checkout, bookings, staff and the books are shared, and each piece keeps its own program.
